Creative Critical Reflection Draft 4
When filming our film The Neighbor, we integrated many technologies to make our film successful and the best that it can be. Technologies we used were a MacBook Pro, iMovie, iPhone 8 Plus, and the music app Spotify. We incorporated all of our technologies into our film and executed them carefully and to the best, we could. Each technology aspect we used contributes to the purpose of our film.
One technology we utilized was a MacBook Pro. This contributes to our film because, in our film, Ally and Ashley are listening to music on a MacBook Pro. This is an essential key part in our film since Ally presses pause on the computer when Sarah begins to call her. We also used a MacBook Pro when editing our film because it was the best option to have our film come out as a high-resolution film and to have great picture quality. We also incorporated the app Spotify with the song Payphone by Maroon 5 to establish our setting and show that the girls are having fun and enjoying time together.
Another technology we used was an iPhone 8 Plus to film on. We decided to use an iPhone because when we transferred our film from a phone to a MacBook, the resolution was very high, which makes our film clear and easy to see and understand. The resolution on our film is 1080 phd 30 frames per second, which is the highest resolution, which best fits for what we aimed for.
One last technology we utilized was iMovie, which was the editing tool we used to edit our film. As a group, we decided this editing tool would best help us in creating our movie because it provided smooth transitions for our scenes and allowed us to include different forms of text and titles in the beginning of our film. Along with these factors, iMovie allowed us to input scary incidental music in a scene where Patty breaks into Ally's house and goes through her belongings. The sounds provided allowed my group and I to experience inputing different styles of background sounds in our film. As a group, we decided to use an intense and scary sound that would best fit the scene we filmed and was executed well in our film.
